Welcome to Save Drop, where we’re passionate about saving water one drop at a time! Founded by Nithya Tammana, a 9-year-old environmentalist and water activist, Save Drop aims to raise awareness about water wastage and promote practical solutions for a sustainable future.
Nithya’s journey began with a simple realization: the staggering amount of water wasted while waiting for the shower to heat up. Inspired by her brother, who founded Recycle My Battery, Nithya was motivated to take action. She has not only initiated Save Drop but also played a significant role in her brother’s initiative, helping to recycle over 10,000 batteries and contributing to various activities daily over the past 3 years.
At Save Drop, we’re not just raising awareness; we’re taking action. Nithya has created a petition to make recirculation pumps mandatory in all households and to provide tax credits for those who install them. Just like how people get tax credits for buying electric cars or installing solar panels, we believe individuals should be rewarded for saving water too!
